Berlin Community Fridge

The Berlin Community Fridge is a free, community-supported food access point available to anyone who needs it. The fridge operates on a “take what you need, leave what you can” model and is stocked through donations and volunteer support. It is open to the public and intended to reduce food insecurity by providing low-barrier access to fresh and shelf-stable food.

The fridge is located on Gilbert Street next to the Parks Department Garage in Berlin and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The project is always looking for volunteers to help with fridge checks or to prepare meals for the fridge. If you’re interested in helping, please reach out by email, Berlincommunityfridge@gmail.com or by messaging the Berlin Community Fridge on Facebook.

For current updates, needs, and announcements, please visit the Berlin Community Fridge on Facebook.

The Berlin Community Fridge was founded by Stacy Gallant and Magen Moreau and is supported by community volunteers. Friends of Willard Street shares this information as a community partner.

Seasonal Considerations: Due to cold temperatures, the Berlin Community Fridge is unable to accept glass or canned items at this time. Please check the Facebook page for the most up-to-date donation guidelines.
